Unfortunately, there is not much “Love thy neighbor” in the world today. The world today is overwhelmed with the “Acts of the Flesh” as Paul points out in Galatians 5: 19The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity, and debauchery; 20idolatry and sorcery; hatred, discord, jealousy, and rage; rivalries, divisions, factions, 21and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
Even the Christian church cannot love its own sister denominations, what with the ELCA and Evangelicals ranting and railing against Christian Nationalists and Conservative Christians.
I have stated before and I’ll say it again: “You cannot legislate love.” The law of love is for the saved.
For the unsaved who cannot comprehend “love,” Laws and Commandements must needs have been given. Ergo, all the “Thou Shalt” and “Thou Shalt Nots.”

    Peace
