What we needed to hear…a dose of reality.
You cannot eliminate violence, hatreds, greed, and evil through legislation.
As Jesse Ventura once said, ” You can’t legislate morality.”
What America needs is a Spiritual Revival. The decline of spirituality in America is evident in the empty church pews of all the major religious denominations. St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Byram used to be filled to capacity, so much so that folding chairs had to be added to accommodate its parishioners, thus necessitating the need for the move to King St., Rye Brook. Today, churches of both Protestant and Catholic denominations are closing their doors, while those that remain have just a handful of congregants in their pews.
