The great film comedian W. C. Fields, unimpeded by cinema censorship of the 1930s, used their names as expletives: “Shadrach and Abednego.”
To my memory, he left out one of the names of fireproof trio: Mesach.
I’m not sure why. Maybe he thought Mesach didn’t sound like an angry oath.
But hail to thee, Mesach. Who could forget you?
