Curious as the Supreme Pontiff is wearing a zucchetto. This is contrary to Paul’s writing on the issue of covering the head in 1 Corinthians 11:1-10.

Christ has been revealed; therefore, Christian men ought not cover the head when praying.

On a similar note, Jewish men wear a kippah since they do not believe that Messiah has come yet.

    One further point of information.

ELCA officially recognizes the Feast Day of the late Pope John XXIII on June 3, the day of his death.

The Roman Catholic church, however, places his Feast on October 11, the date of his birth.
