That is only half the Torah. Firstly, the Torah deals with man’s relationship with God. Secondly, man’s relationship with his fellow man.

Leviticus 19:18 …but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the LORD.

I am bothered, bewildered, and befuddled as to why religious leaders (in Judaism and Christianity), rabbis, priests, pastors, deacons, church fathers, and others (speaking or writing in a position of authority) see fit to reword and/or rephrase the Inspired Word of God.

Philip, I have a question for you. On you wedding day, did you promise to “love, honor and obey” your wife; or did you say I shall not hate, disrespect, nor defy my wife?”

Do you understand how a simple rewording of a positive command in to its negative completely undermines its original intent.

    Shalom
